Every Moment Matters
⭐️ATTENDANCE MATTERS⭐️
Here at Grove Street, we understand that attendance and punctuality are key to promoting children's wellbeing in school.
Particularly in our Early Years, we recognise and are able to see the impact that attending school on time every day has on each child. Even within our Nursery and 2 year old settings, our children are developing key skills to prepare them for Reception, including Read, Write Inc. Phonics, Maths meetings and Magic Story Box and most importantly opportunities for high quality play! Children are able to settle in, build relationships with their teachers, socialise and build friendships, the list goes on!
"One of the best ways a parent can enhance self-esteem in their child is by setting up predictable routines"
These predictable routines are achieved when children are attending school each day and are punctual.
Our gates open at 8.45 and close at 8.55. After the gates close, your child will need to be brought to the main office where they will be signed in by the admin team.
If you have any questions or concerns about this, please just let one of us know by messaging us on dojo or speaking to us on the gates.
Please see below an example of learning missed across the year when children are late to school:
- 5 minutes late (3 school days)
- 10 minutes late (6.5 school days)
- 15 minutes late (10 school days)
- 20 minutes late (13 school days)
- 30 minutes (19 school days)
