Holidays During Term Time

Here at Grove Street we will not grant any leave of absence for family holidays during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.  Please note 'exeptional circumstances' do not include a situation where parents chooses to take pupils out of school to fit in with their work related holiday dates. 

If parents believe that their circumstances meet the 'exeptional' criteria please put your request in writing to the Headteacher in advance of the date.  Please use our Application for Leave of Absence Form which can be collected from the School Office. 

Any unauthorised holiday in term time may result in an Education Penalty Notice being issued, or if your application is not agreed you will be fined.  If you take your child out of school and we have not been informed we will liaise with the Local Authority.
