Communication Friendly Spaces

Every classroom has a quiet, cosy reading area that they can access throughout the day. Children are encouraged to relax and read a book whether it be on their own, with a friend or with an adult.

These areas not only support children with their reading but also provide them with somewhere they can sit to help them self-regulate, take time out if things become a little too overwhelming or where they can go to talk to someone.

Our classrooms and corridors are tailored to engage and support all learners. By using neutral colours and aesthetically pleasing displays, which can been seen throughout school, children do not become visually distressed or distracted by their surroundings.
