Dyslexia

In order to support children with dyslexia or those who may struggle with reading and writing, we use a range of resources to ensure their needs are met.

Dyslexia Gold

Children have access to this fun online programme both in school and at home. It is designed to improve children’s reading fluency, help them to master spelling and check for key indicators of dyslexia, along with a tool to support times tables.

Coloured overlays and exercise books

Children with dyslexic traits are provided with coloured overlays, coloured reading rulers and coloured paper in their exercise books, all of which are specific to their particular preference. However, these resources are also available to any child who may not necessarily have traits of dyslexia but who struggles to read and/or write using white paper.

Dyslexia friendly font

Using a dyslexia friendly font supports children with their reading.

Teachers have access to a specific font that can be used when children access the interactive whiteboard, learning activities and for use around the classroom.
